2019 Best of the Boat band: Buffalo Commons

From playing a gig at a coffee shop to jamming to a sold-out crowd at WinterWonderGrass.

That’s the four-year storyline behind Buffalo Commons, the town’s Best Band for the second year running.

“It’s better than I ever envisioned,” says frontman Tyree Woods, touting their “original folk-n-soul from the Yampa Valley.”

Band members Gabe Riding, Eric Baker, Tyree Woods, Denton Turner and Randy Kelley are constantly working on new music and updating their set lists with new originals and covers.

“This awesome community we’re a part of has a lot to do with our success,” says Woods, whose band drops its first album this winter and launched a signature beer with Butcherknife Brewery called Traveler Brut IPA after its song “The Traveler.”
