2019 Best of the Boat art gallery: Pine Moon Fine Art

To have a flourishing arts community, local emerging artists are the backbone — and that’s exactly the premise of Pine Moon Fine Art, winner of this year’s Best Art Gallery for the second year in a row.
“Our success owes itself to our variety of art techniques and the fact that all of our artists are from Steamboat Springs and the surrounding area,” says Sandi Poltorak, one of the gallery’s 13 owners.
Opening in September 2016, the artist-owned and operated gallery at 117 Ninth St. showcases the works of a bevy of talent, which will be showcased over the year.
Upcoming shows include: Carol Jean (December); an Iceland-themed exhibit by Poltorak, Abby Jensen and Maggie Smith (January); Jill Bergman (February); Lance Whitner (March); Paulina Johnson (June); glass artist Jennifer Baker (July); and a black and white show by Poltorak, Bergman and Johnson (September).
“We’re excited to showcase the work of all these great local artists,” says Poltorak.
