2018 primary ballots are due to Routt County Clerk office Tuesday, June 26

Primary ballots for 2018 are due at the Routt County Clerk and Recorder’s office no later than 7 p.m.Tuesday, June 26. Drop off signed ballots at the 24/7 Secure Ballot Drop-off Box in the alley behind the courthouse in Steamboat Springs.  Residents can vote in person or replace damage or lost ballots at the Routt County Courthouse Annex, 136 6th St. at 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 26.

Unaffiliated voters received both a Republican and Democratic primary ballot. For their vote to be processed, unaffiliated voters may only vote and return one voted ballot.

YVSC hosts Green Drinks event at Mountain Tap Brewery Tuesday, June 26

Community members are invited to join Yampa Valley Sustainability Council from 5 to 6:30 p.m. today at Mountain Tap Brewery for an evening of social networking with others interested in sustainability. The event is open to everyone, and attendees are encouraged to bring a friend. YVSC is a member of Green Drinks International, active in more than 70 countries worldwide.

At 5 and 6 p.m., owner and brewmaster Rich Tucciarone will provide tours of Mountain Tap’s brewing process and sustainable operations. Mountain Tap received YVSC’s 2017 Sustainable Business Award for their efforts on many fronts, such as upcycled interior elements, energy efficiency, encouraging staff to use alternative transportation and much more. YVSC’s networking event coincides with Mountain Tap’s Token Tuesday. Each month, the brewery selects four local nonprofit organizations to support. On Tuesdays, guests receive a wooden token for every beer they purchase, which they can deposit into the Token Tuesday box of one of the four organizations, including YVSC in the month of June. For every token collected, Mountain Tap Brewery donates $1.

Butcherknife Brewing Co. to host Pride Night on Thursday

In support of LGBTQIA community and allies, Butcherknife Brewing Co. is hosting Pride Night at 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, June 28 at 2875 Elk River Road. There will be a dance party, the Y-Not Wagon Food Truck, games, amazing beer and other surprises. All are welcome.
