1-acre fire burning in Sarvis Creek Wilderness

Steamboat Springs — A small fire was reported Saturday in the Sarvis Creek Wilderness.
Hunters scouting for the upcoming season found the fire about 2 miles northeast of the Silver Creek trailhead.
The fire was listed at 1 acre Saturday evening.
A photo taken by one of the hunters shows it is burning in beetle-killed trees.
