In Memoriam: Cynthia May
Tribute to Cynthia May J. N. May
Oh lord she lived where the cattle grew Toiled at this deep love As hard as any woman could Honest as old horses that she knew Heaven smiled on her and called it good.
She could hear the river groaning A calling for the storm Would cook a heap of fixings To keep us cowboys warm.
Was always kind and gentle In a jolly sort of way Lest her boots stuck in D mud WHAT DID MOTHER SAY?
She had been dreaming of her cowboy That’s awaiting up above Missing too the ranch life That she truly loved.
Now she’s up there with her lead cows And i’ll go ahead and brag See ya someday soon, Mom. Be a trailing up the drag.
Cynthia May’s service is to be held January 25th at 11 O’clock at the First Baptist Church by the airport on Elk River Road 129.
