Barbara Lynn Woodard

Barbara Lynn (Mosher) Woodard
1953-2016
Barbara was born in Glenwood Springs, CO to John and Alice (Wood) Mosher. Barb was known by many as a brave, strong, fun, kind, and caring person who would go out of her way to help others. To her peers, she was known as the smartest girl in school. Barb had a very dry sense of humor and enjoyed the simple things in life including flowers, mountains, and all animals especially her sweet dogs. She loved fishing, crocheting, Rockies’ baseball, the Broncos, reading, Sudoku, crossword puzzles, spider solitaire, shopping, visiting relatives, and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren. Barb always enjoyed the jobs she had, especially the people she worked with at Strawberry Park Elementary, her driving job for the railroad crews, and as a taxi driver in Steamboat. She ended a tough and courageous battle with cancer, surviving over 14 years and beating many odds. Barb was pragmatic and selfless, even when faced with her own mortality. She is survived by her daughters, Chrystal Hockaday and Miranda (Matthew) Burin; her aunt Liz (Lou) Lewis, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and her grandchildren, Dylan and Shane Burin. Barb will always be loved and missed by all who knew her! A service was held for Barb in Steamboat on October 15, 2016.
