Steamboat’s signature events

During any typical year, Steamboat has a wealth of events lined up promising fun for the whole family. They range from the annual Cowboy Downhill on the mountain every January and historic Winter Carnival held every February (the famous Lighted Man and high school marching band on skis, anyone?) to such events as the Steamboat Marathon, Rocky Mountain Mustang Round Up, Steamboat Pilot & Today Hot Air Balloon Rodeo, Art in the Park, Steamboat Food and Wine Festival and more. Throw in the weekly rodeo, Cowboys’ Roundup Days on the 4th of July, bike races, Keepin’ It Free Summer Concert Series and more, and there’s certainly a “Festivus for the restivus” in Steamboat Springs. “For a small mountain town, Steamboat has a big, big lineup of fun-filled events all season long,” says Chamber Marketing Director Laura Soard.
