❱❱ Fishing Derby and Pancake Breakfast — Walton Pond, 8 a.m.
The Steamboat Springs Optimist and Rotary clubs will host the 28th annual Fishing Derby and Pancake Breakfast. The free breakfast is at 8 a.m., with the fishing derby at 9 a.m. FREE. Turn off U.S. Highway 40 onto Weiss Drive, across from the Holiday Inn.
❱❱ Grilling and pie contest — Ace at the Curve, 8 a.m.
The ninth annual beef grill-off and homemade pie contest is at Ace at the Curve. Grillers can start at 8 a.m. and must finish by 11 a.m. Pies are due by 10:30 a.m., and lunch will start at 11:30 a.m. Grillers must pay $10 to enter, and the pie contest costs $5 per contestant. Grillers will use a top round that can be cut into steaks or left as a roast. Prizes include a gas grill, savings bonds and rodeo tickets. 2155 Curve Plaza.

❱❱ Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup Show 'n' Shine — Oak Street, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Volunteer judges will evaluate Mustangs in more than 40 classes, based on cleanliness, craftsmanship, quality and more. FREE. The cars will be displayed on Oak Street from Third to Ninth streets.
❱❱ Free Family Fun Fest — Gondola Square, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Adventure Zone activities are free. Children ages 12 and younger can ride the gondola free, and adults pay half-price. Steamboat Ski Area.

The North Routt Music Festival is at 4 p.m. beside the Elk River in Clark. Blissful Mayhem, Jed Clampit and Too Slim and the Taildraggers will perform. Cowboys and cowgirls compete at classic rodeo events. Barbecue will be sold starting at 6 p.m., and pre-rodeo entertainment runs from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. Tickets are $15 at the gate for adults and $8 for children ages 7 to 15.
