Volunteers needed for several events in Steamboat

— ■ The Steamboat Big Mountain Enduro Series race is at 8 a.m. Sunday. Those interested in volunteering should call David Scully at 970-846-5012.

■ The Steamboat Stinger Mountain Bike Race is Aug. 11, and the Steamboat Stinger marathon and half-marathon are Aug. 12. Volunteers are needed both days. Contact Erin Campbell at ecampbell@honeystinger.com or 970-367-4412. All volunteers will receive a Honey Stinger goodie bag, Steamboat Stinger race T-shirt and lunch. 

■ Volunteers are need for the Steamboat Wine Festival’s Grand Tasting Aug. 4. Help is needed for setup from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. or the tasting from 2 to 7 p.m. Volunteers must be 21 or older and will receive a free ticket to the Aug. 3 Stroll of Steamboat Grand Tasting. ■ Volunteers are needed for the Mount Werner Classic, a 50-kilometer trail run Aug. 4 at Steamboat Ski Area. Volunteers will receive a post-race meal as well as a long-sleeved Patagonia T-shirt with the race logo. Find more information at http://www.runningseries.com/races/mt_werner_classic.php.

■ Volunteers are needed for the STARS and Routt County Riders Biking the Boat charity ride Aug. 25 in Steamboat Springs. Help is needed with aid stations and course setup and cleanup. Those interested should email janetrcr@hotmail.com.
