6:59 a.m. Someone reportedly saw orange traffic cones sitting on railroad tracks near 13th Street. The cones were gone when officers arrived.

7:56 a.m. A man in the 2500 block of Downhill Drive reported cars illegally using a parking lot to make U-turns. A report was taken.

8:12 a.m. A woman was cited for stealing fruit and juice from a grocery store in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive.

10:20 a.m. A man in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive reported being harassed by a former employee.

11:45 a.m. A man reported being followed too closely by a car near Lincoln Avenue and Snow Bowl Plaza.

12:16 p.m. A woman reported her dog being attacked by another dog on Walton Creek Road.

1:39 p.m. Officers assisted Colorado Department of Wildlife officers to direct traffic near Fifth and Yampa streets.

1:58 p.m. A 26-year-old Delaware man and a 36-year-old Craig man died in a head-on crash west of Hayden. A 15-year-old girl and 3-year-old boy sustained moderate injuries and were taken to the hospital. No other vehicles were involved in the accident. Colorado State Patrol is investigating the accident.

2:07 p.m. A man in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive reportedly ate food in a grocery store without paying for it. The man was gone when officers arrived.

2:34 p.m. A man registered as a sex offender at the police department.

3:15 p.m. Officers checked on a man who hadn’t been to work in two days. The man was fine.

4:45 p.m. A woman in the 500 block of Evans Street thought she saw a man peeking through her windows. The woman locked herself in the bathroom with a can of pepper spray. Officers found the man who was at the woman’s home to light the furnace.

5:37 p.m. A $500 iPod reportedly was stolen from an unlocked car in the 1500 block of Shadow Run Court.

10:30 p.m. A loose dog was taken to the shelter from Routt County Road 44.

11:15 p.m. Someone reportedly stole a car stereo and a distributor cap, and possibly other items, in the 600 block of Marketplace Plaza.
