3:38 a.m. A man reportedly was sleeping in a vehicle parked in an alley off the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue. Police contacted the man, a 40-year-old Steamboat resident, and he was subsequently arrested on an outstanding warrant.

3:55 a.m. A suspicious incident was reported in the 1300 block of Skyview Lane, where a resident reported seeing flashes and hearing eight shots. Police were unable to locate the source of the noise or find anything amiss.



4:34 a.m. A burglar alarm went off in the 35900 block of Agate Creek Road. Everything was fine.

6:48 a.m. A one-vehicle accident was reported near mile marker 124 on U.S. Highway 40, where a car struck an elk. The vehicle was gone when Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived. The injured elk was put down.



7:50 a.m. A political sign was reported stolen in the 1400 block of Conestoga Circle. Police took a report.

8:27 a.m. A vehicle complaint was received from the 47000 block of Routt County Road 129 in Clark, where an unattended vehicle was blocking a driveway.

8:30 a.m. Vandalism was reported in the 1300 block of Lincoln Avenue, where graffiti had been spray-painted on a restroom door. Police took a report.

9:56 a.m. An abandoned vehicle was reported on South Fork Trail off Forest Service Road 443.

11:30 a.m. A vehicle complaint was received from U.S. Highway 40 near Walton Creek Road, where a driver heading eastb was passing aggressively. Sheriff’s Office deputies located the vehicle but found no probable cause for a stop.

11:31 a.m. A fire alarm went off in the 26200 block of Henderson Park Road. Everything was fine.

12:15 p.m. A suspicious person was reported in the 1500 block of Lincoln Avenue, where a woman was possibly sleeping in the bathroom at the Stock Bridge Transit Center. Police contacted the woman and found everything was fine.

12:38 p.m. Vandalism was reported in the 28600 block of U.S. 40, where someone had shot at portable toilets at the Routt County Rifle Club range. Sheriff’s Office deputies took a report.

1:26 p.m. A fire alarm went off in the 16000 block of Colorado Highway 131 in Yampa. Everything was fine.

1:55 p.m. A suspicious incident was reported in the 1200 block of Bob Adams Drive, where an elderly woman received phone calls she suspected were part of a scam. Police are investigating.

3:15 p.m. A burglar alarm went off in the 35900 block of Agate Creek Road. Everything was fine.

3:42 p.m. A suspicious incident was reported in the 1300 block of Sparta Plaza, where neighbors threatened one another during a verbal dispute Monday night. Police took a report.

3:52 p.m. A carbon monoxide alarm went off in the 27400 block of Brandon Circle. Everything was fine.

8:48 p.m. A one-vehicle, noninjury accident was reported near mile marker 47 on Colorado Highway 131, where a vehicle struck a deer.

9:45 p.m. An illegally parked vehicle was towed from the 3300 block of Columbine Drive.

9:48 p.m. A two-vehicle, hit-and-run accident was reported in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. There were no injuries.

11:53 a.m. An ambulance was requested in Steamboat Springs, where an intoxicated woman was threatening to hurt herself with a pair of scissors. She was transported to the hospital.
