Steamboat football squad garners all-league awards

— The Steamboat Springs High School football team had three players named to the Western Slope League all-league team.

Senior Michael Savory was named to the first team, and senior Tanner Anderson and sophomore Christian Ramirez were named honorable mention.

“They did everything in their capabilities and potential to make the season a success,” Sailors coach Lonn Clementson said. “They did everything they could to make first downs. They were deserving, and we’re proud of those guys.”

Hayden football coach Shawn Baumgartner, whose team fell in the second round of the Class 1A playoffs to Wray, said he would release his all-league selections after the team banquet Dec. 1.
