Steamboat Creates to offer Depot Art Center to nonprofits for free on Sundays

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Steamboat Creates is offering free Nonprofit Sundays, which offers nonprofit organizations in Routt County the opportunity to rent the Depot Art Center for up to three hours on available Sundays without charge.

“We are offering Free Nonprofit Sundays because we understand the financial restrictions of being a nonprofit organization and want to support the nonprofit organizations in our community,” Steamboat Creates program director Sylvie Piquet was quoted as saying in a news release. “The Depot was transformed into a center for arts and humanities in 1972 with the intent of being a community gathering place. This is one way we can honor that.”

A $200 damage deposit and insurance requirement will apply. Contact Piquet at for more information.
