Steamboat briefs: Tee ball registration under way for Hayden youths

Tee ball registration under way for Hayden youths

Totally Kids is accepting registrations for Hayden Tee Ball for children ages 4 to 7. Registration forms can be picked up at Hayden Valley Elementary School. The registration fee is $25 per child, and the deadline is Thursday. The tee ball season runs from mid-May through June with games on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Call Donna at 276-4213 for details.

Payments for property tax now can be made online

The Routt County Treasurer’s Office has announced that property tax payments now can be made online. Routt County taxpayers may use an electronic check or American Express, Discover, MasterCard or Visa credit or debit card to make their payment at

“This service not only allows property tax payments to be made 24/7 from any location, but it also permits customers to extend payment terms using their own line of credit,” Routt County Treasurer Jeanne Whiddon said in a news release.

A calculated fee is charged for the online payment service.

USFS seeking advisory committee nominations

The U.S. Forest Service is seeking Colorado and Wyoming residents, elected officials and special interest group representatives as nominees for the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest Resource Advisory Committee, or RAC. The RAC represents a wide range of interests. Committee duties include reviewing proposed land management projects on or adjacent to the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest. Members serve a four-year term without compensation except possible travel expenses.
