— Mitchell VeDepo, a 2009 graduate of Hayden High School, recently was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2010 semester at Colorado School of Mines. VeDepo is a sophomore majoring in biochemical engineering. He has been named to the dean’s list every semester.

Volunteers are sought for Casino Night benefit

Fundraiser for Jeff Goffe is set for Sunday in Denver

A fundraiser to benefit Jeff Goffe, who has stage 4 melanoma, is from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Mercury Cafe, 2199 California St., in Denver. Proceeds will help Goffe, who lives in Craig and worked for years at Steamboat Motors, cover medical costs and take time off work to spend time with his grandchildren. The event will include live music and a silent auction. Those who cannot attend but still want to help can send donations to Goffe at 333 Birch St., Craig, CO 81625.

Integrated Community is seeking board members

YVMC offers free lactation clinics every Wednesday

Yampa Valley Medical Cen­ter’s Family Birth Place staff will offer a new outpatient lactation clinic from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesdays starting Feb. 16. Lactation visits are free by appointment in the Integrated Health clinic on YVMC’s campus, according to a news release.

The Outpatient Lactation Clinic offers support and education for women to achieve their breastfeeding goals, regardless of where they delivered their babies. Each visit will include weighing the baby, observation and evaluation of a feeding, assessment of maternal and infant anatomy, and suggestions for enhancement. An average consultation lasts about one hour. Call 970-875-2662 to schedule a consultation.
