Singers needed for CMC’s ‘Carmina Burana’ show

— Singers are needed for the Colorado Mountain College production of “Carmina Burana,” scheduled for January at Steamboat Springs High School. Rehearsals are from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays in the Steamboat Springs Middle School band room.

Wildlife photographs on display at museum

The Tracks and Trails Museum, 129 E. Main Street in Oak Creek, is featuring Daniel Ellertson’s wildlife photographs, on display on the Artist’s Wall. This exciting exhibit is free and open to the public for two months. All are welcome. With questions, call 736-8245 from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Yard signs are available to support half-cent sales tax

Members of the Half Cent Makes Sense Committee announced that yard signs are available for community members who want to show their support for ballot issues 2A and 2B – the renewal of the half-cent sales tax for education and the expansion of its funding boundaries to include other Routt County school districts. Signs are available behind Cantina Mexican restaurant in downtown Steamboat.

Members of the Half Cent Makes Sense Committee also will answer questions about 2A and 2B from noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 1 and Nov. 2 in front of City Market and Safeway in Steamboat Springs. For more information, call Kristi Brown at 819-0053.

Club accepting Teen of the Month applications

The Steamboat Springs Optimist Club is accepting applications for its Teen of the Month program. Area high school students and those interested can pick up applications from their school counselors or by calling Rob MacCarthy at 871-7179. The program culminates in a May recognition dinner for all the recognized teens, and a scholarship for the Teen of the Year.
