Steamboat Springs — Steamboat Rotary Clubs offer study trips to Finland
The Steamboat Springs and Ski Town Rotary Clubs are inviting young professionals between the ages of 25 and 40 to apply for the Rotary Group Study Exchange program, which will take place in Finland from April 10, 2008 through May 15, 2008.
Candidates from Northern Colorado, Eastern Idaho, Wyoming and Western Nebraska are eligible to participate in the Finland exchange, Steamboat Rotary Club presidents Sandy Evans Hall and Evlyn Berge said.
The Group Study Exchange program is a unique opportunity designed to develop professional and leadership skills among young adults to better prepare them to address the needs of their communities in an ever-increasing global workplace. Team members will spend a month or more visiting the host country and living with local Rotary families.
The Rotary Foundation pays for most of the team member’s expenses, including transportation and meals, with team members expected to pay only for their personal incidental expenses. Applications are due Friday, Nov. 10. Interviews will be conducted Nov. 17 in Casper, Wyo. and Nov. 18 in Fort Collins.
