The Steamboat Springs Arts Council announces the following Festival O’ Pumpkins winners: “Most Creative,” Emily Eakins and Carrie Requist; “Funniest,” Scout Reynolds and Mike Baird; “Scariest,” Ella Walker and Jennifer Harbison; and “Best O’ The Boat,” Taylor Rogers and John Werbel.

Free coats for South Routt residents by Love, Inc.

Free coats for South Routt residents will be given out by Love, Inc., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday during the Yampa Arts and Crafts Fair at South Routt Elementary School. There is a limit of one coat per person. For more information, call LIFT-UP of Routt County at 870-0727.

The Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club Snowboard Team is accepting registrations for the Freeriderz and Boardriderz Development Snowboard programs. The groups meet from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays beginning Dec. 2 and running until March 17. Other programs for all ability levels also are available. ‘Pig-Out 4 Partners Day’ on Tuesday at Rio Grande

Partners in Routt County and the Rio Grande Mexican restaurant are joining together for a “Pig-Out 4 Partners Day” on Tuesday. The restaurant will donate 10 percent of every customer bill to the nonprofit organization that pairs adult mentors with youths in the community who could benefit from positive role models. Partners officials will be at the restaurant from 5 to 7 p.m.

Free diapers offered to mothers who quit smoking

The Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association’s “Baby and Me Tobacco Free” program offers free diapers for one year to any pregnant woman who is trying to quit smoking or who has recently quit. For more information, call Hope Cook at the VNA at 871-7622.

Teen of the Month

The Steamboat Springs Optimist Club is accepting applications for its Teen of the Month program. Area high school students and those interested can pick up applications from their school counselors, or by calling Rob MacCarthy at 871-7179. The program culminates in a May recognition dinner for all the recognized teens, and a scholarship for the Teen of the Year.
