Place of birth: Wichita, Kan. We moved to Evergreen when I was in preschool.
Q. When did you move to Routt County and what brought you here?
A. I moved here after graduating from Colorado College in 1992 with four sorority sisters to ski and have fun. Three of us are still here, and we try to make time for fun!

A. Admit to my loyal library patrons that I haven’t read all the Harry Potter books. GASP!
Q. Has a book ever changed your life? What was it and why?
A. Oooh, that’s a loaded question for a librarian.
Q. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
A. Remember that everyone’s trying to do their best.
Q. What three things would you want people to know about you?
A. I have a lovely and sassy daughter age 4.5 and a sweet and curious son, age 1. I am passionate about encouraging kids to read. I love Steamboat Springs and the many amazing people who make it the cool place I call home.
Q. What did you want to be when you grew up?
A. A journalist
Q. If you could invite any four people to dinner, who would they be and what would you talk about?
A. My husband, Steve, with whom I get precious little time to really talk!

A. Superlibrarian, for obvious reasons

A. Uh, no.

A. Not really, but don’t ask me to check out the giant spider you just found in the basement (honey!).
Q. If you could go back in time, to what event or time period would you go?
A. I’m good here, thanks.
Q. What is your favorite thing to do in Routt County?
A. Just be.
