RECIPE: The Press’ Jackson Browne
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — The Press prides itself on being one of the main spots in town to see a good band play live music. And they decided to take it to another level with their selection of cocktails.
Behind the bar, bartenders have a book filled with recipes that conjure memories of different artists and albums. One of the cocktails featured in April is the Jackson Browne.
In the cocktail book, which is decorated with photos of different vinyl covers, Jackson Browne is based off the rock country singer’s 1977 album, “Running on Empty.” The drink pulls from flavors that help take folks back to that moment in time.
- 1 oz. of Jack Daniels rye whiskey
- 1 oz. Campari
- 1 oz. dry vermouth
- Mix together
- Garnish with lemon peel
