New Year’s Eve events in Steamboat Springs

❱❱ New Year’s Eve Torchlight Parade and fireworks, Steamboat Ski Area

The Steamboat Ski & Snowboard School treats viewers to an on-snow parade down the mountain, lit only by torches, at 7 p.m. A fireworks display will illuminate the sky. The event is free and open to the public; the best viewing is in Gondola Square. Call 970-879-6111 or visit

Begin the evening with a cocktail hour, followed by a gourmet dinner buffet. After dinner, enjoy dancing in the ballroom and a Champagne toast. A cash bar will be open throughout the evening. Cost for dinner, dance and Champagne toast is $58 per person; $25 per person for Champagne toast and dancing only. Cocktail hour begins at 7 p.m., dinner is served at 8 p.m., and dancing begins at 10 p.m. Advance ticket purchase is required.
