Library’s Short Story Dispenser to feature poetry in April

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Bud Werner Memorial Library is honoring National Poetry Month in April with a poetry takeover of the Short Story Dispenser. The machine will feature poetry from April 1 to 30.

These free poems are gleaned by pushing a button on the dispenser located next to the library front desk. For April, the 1-Minute Button features short poetry, the 3-Minute Button features longer poems and the Children’s Button features classic children’s poetry.

This permanent installation is provided to the Yampa Valley community in memory of Wayne E. Swanson — a lover of stories. In May, the dispenser returns to its regular catalog of thousands of contemporary tales that are custom-tailored to give a literary boost to busy lives on the run.
