Howelsen Hill Ski Area opens Saturday

The Howelsen Hill Ski Area and Nordic Center will open for the season Saturday. The Poma lift will operate with expert skiing on the Upper and Lower Face and beginner skiing on the Boardwalk lift from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A portion of the rodeo loop will be the only Nordic trail groomed for skate skiing with classic track set. More trails will open as trails permit. A map of what portion is open can be found at the concession stand.

A season pass or ticket is required on all lifts and Nordic trails and can be purchased at the concession stand. Pass prices will go up $30 each after Sunday. The concession stand will be open from 1 to 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and will continue to be open during normal operating hours.
