There’s something for all to discover this weekend.
Stagecoach Star Party with Jimmy Westlake
Do you own a homemade or commercial telescope and enjoy sharing celestial sights with other folks? Then come down to the shores of beautiful Stagecoach Reservoir Friday night and set up your scope for some shared public viewing. Join other astronomy enthusiasts from around the community at the Morrison Cove boat ramp, weather permitting.

Bugs, Bugs, Bugs!
Join the park’s interpretive ranger at Yampa River State Park and take a closer look at nature. With bug nets, magnified viewing catchers and specimen jars, the group will set out on a bug hunt around the park grounds. All ages can collect and view insects, rocks, minerals, flowers, leaves, seeds and more.

Take your friends out for a night of laughs at the Chief Theater. This weekend, the theater’s Comedy Night will feature comedians Steve Young and Kristin Cronin as Hippian. This show includes adult content and is appropriate for those 18 and older. Bar opens at 7:30 p.m.

Movies on the Mountain
For a night under the stars, friends and families can gather in Gondola Square to watch this week’s featured film, “Grease,” beginning at sunset for the Coca-Cola Movies on the Mountain event. Bring lawn chairs and blankets. No pets.

Exile with Juice Newton
Two legendary artists with a combined total of 16 No. 1 hit singles will come together for a lively show at Strings Sunday evening. All five original members of Exile will appear on stage with Juice Newton performing their country and pop hits. Exile celebrates more than 50 years of songwriting and performing top hits such as “People Get Ready” and “I Want to Kiss You All Over.” Vocal sensation and Grammy Award-winning Newton exploded into the mainstream in 1981 and went platinum with her songs “Angel of the Morning” and “Queen of Hearts.”
