Cog Ride finds a new venue
According to organizer Wes Dearborn, the Cog Ride event has been moved to the Routt County Fairgrounds in Hayden. Camping will be available for participants, but will cost $20.
The Cog Ride is slated for Saturday and is a Lou Gehrig’s disease fundraiser. Dearborn was planning on headquartering the ride, along with barbecue, beer and bands at his home on 40 acres just north of Hayden. But after a court hearing Monday, Dearborn had to move the event.
The 30-mile Hayden ride now will start at noon at Routt County Fairgrounds. Registration will be at 11 a.m.
The Johnny O Band, a blues act from Boulder, and Yer State Birds will play after the ride as well as another act yet to be announced.
Backdoor Sports will provide a shuttle back to Steamboat for those who don’t want to camp. Call 970-879-6249 to reserve a spot.
More information about the ride can be found at http://community.als.net/cogride.
