Coffee Toffee Bars

— Ingredients:

Combine:

2 1/4 cups flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

Set Aside

Blend:

1 cup butter

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1 teaspoon almond and vanilla extract, each

1/2 teaspoon instant coffee

Directions:

Blend dry ingredients with other and bake at 350 degrees until golden brown in colour.

While hot, pour 1/2 of a jumbo bag of chocolate chips on top and spread while melting. You can use unsweetened or milk chocolate.

If preferred, sprinkle toffee chunks on top for garnish.
