Rotary_Student_of_the_Month_December_John_Cutter
Steamboat Springs High School senior Meghan Hartley was named Optimist Club of Steamboat Springs’ Teen of the Month for November. Hartley maintains a 3.88 GPA and was named to the Academic All-State Women’s Soccer Team in the spring. Hartley also has been named to the honor roll and was given admission with distinction at Western Washington University, where she plans to study graphic design or photojournalism.
“Eventually, I want to travel around the world and experience as many different cultures as I can while pursuing a career associated with my chosen major,” Hartley wrote in her application.
John Cutter named Rotary Student of the Month
John Cutter, a senior at Christian Heritage School, was named the Rotary Student of the Month for December. John is the son of Lewis and Mary Cutter of Steamboat Springs.
Cutter will be the valedictorian at Christian Heritage School when he graduates this spring.
In addition to school, Cutter is very active in Boy Scouts and has achieved the status of Eagle Scout. He runs cross country and track on the Steamboat Springs High School varsity teams. John is the current president of Student Council at CHS. Also, he maintains an active schedule with Holy Name Catholic Church as an altar server, lector, youth leader and Eucharistic Minister.
Cutter is considering attending Georgetown University, Pepperdine University and the University of San Diego, among others.

Dean’s List. These students maintained an average of 86 to 89 percent in their course load during the first trimester at The Lowell Whiteman School: Lucy Causley, Will Findell, Willow Fitzgerald, Galen Goldscheitter, Chris Hill, Matt Hill, Maria Hillenbrand, Dennis Kinder, David Lea, Betsy Neal, Molly Newman, Kaeli Nolte, Francesca Pavillard-Cain, Clare Southworth, Seann Stoner, Hunter Thompson, Ben Von Thaden, Daniel Wright, Audrey Young.
