Photographer’s new Web site online
Steamboat Springs — Photographer Larry Pierce has unveiled a new Web site, http://www.larrypiercephoto.com, according to a news release. The site features his recently released collection of prints.
Specializing in active outdoor sports, travel and western lifestyle imagery, Pierce has portrayed the essence of Steamboat Springs and the surrounding area for more than 25 years. He has worked as the Steamboat Ski Area’s photographer for a decade.
Pierce’s images have appeared in publications including Time, National Geographic Traveler, Sports Illustrated, Ski and Skiing.
YVMA employee receives bone exam certification
The International Society for Clinical Densitometry announced that Kimberly Mosher, of Yampa Valley Medical Associates, has passed the certification exam for Certified Bone Densitometry Technologist. The credential signifies that a person has passed an exam designed to meet stringent certification industry standards and best practices in the United States, according to a news release.
The society is a nonprofit professional group of more than 6,000 clinician and technologist members from more than 40 countries. It is dedicated to improving the quality of bone density testing for osteoporosis, educating health care providers, increasing patient awareness and supporting scientific advances.
Ben’s Blinds to serve Beaver Run Resort
Ben’s Blinds, owned and operated by Ben Clark, has been named the primary vendor for window coverings for the Beaver Run Resort. Ben’s Blinds will work with Julie Magliochetti, the refurbishment coordinator, to assist owners with their window covering needs, according to a news release. Located slope side in Breckenridge, Beaver Run Resort is managed by Premier Resorts and contains more than 450 privately owned units. Lab earns accreditation for echocardiograms
Yampa Valley Medical Associates has received accreditation by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories, according to a news release. The laboratory is one of the first 1,000 echocardiography laboratories in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico to be so recognized for its commitment to high quality patient care and its provision of quality diagnostic testing.
