A look at Steamboat Dance Theatre’s 46th annual concert, “A moment in time”
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Starring more than 100 local dancers in 14 original pieces of choreography, the 46th annual Steamboat Dance Theatre performance took center stage over the weekend.
This year’s show featured the theme: “A moment in time.”
Steamboat Dance Theatre aims to engage, educate and enrich the community through dance, inspired by a passion for and appreciation of diverse dance experiences. The 2017 concert lineup included jazz, swing, contemporary, hip-hop, tap, hula, and aerial dances among the show’s diverse genres.
As Steamboat Dance Theatre’s largest fundraiser, the annual concert proceeds fund the volunteer organization’s popular local dance scholarship program.
