During this time of COVID-19, what changes have you made to stay open, still do business and connect with customers?

Our staff moved their work stations to their homes and shared their personal cellphone numbers with clients so that they could be reached while away from the office. We are continuing to conduct our Monday morning staff meeting using Skype.

Have you discovered any silver linings during this crisis?

This is our chance to “pay it forward” and help others. We have increased employee commissions for policies sold because we want our people to be unafraid of their financial futures. In turn, they will continue to support their families and to spend money within the community — often purchasing services or products from our clients.

What is the best customer experience you’ve had or feedback you’ve received since this crisis began?

Clients have been very inventive, coming up with solutions I wish I could call my own. For example, Tim Pahula of 8th Street Steakhouse shared his insight on how utilization of the SBA Stimulus Loan for payroll will hopefully and positively affect worker’s compensation insurance premiums. All our clients will now benefit from his ingenuity.

How can the community support you at this time?

We appreciate any and all opportunities. An insurance quote is free and there is no obligation to purchase, however, you may find that your insurance portfolio is an area where you could be saving some much-needed cash. Please contact us and give us the chance to earn your business.

What are you doing to support the community at this time?

During this uncertain period, the fear of financial ruin for some may be greater than the fear of the virus. This is when insurance can be most important and helping you protect your assets is our goal. We are working to positively influence Steamboat Springs City Council decisions regarding business assistance. Additionally, we have donated our time and expertise to a local non-profit who is suffering losses from both COVID-19 and a recent catastrophe and who does not have an agent to help them.
