Things looking up for Hayden VB
The Hayden volleyball team hopes to improve after a 16-6 record a year ago. A late stumble by that 2008 squad may help the 2009 team's cause.

The stadium experience
Staging the final night of the Democratic National Convention at Invesco Field, rather than the Pepsi Center, was an idea that created logistical nightmares but also an incredibly energetic scene that ultimately paid off for Democrats.

History is made
Barack Obama's surprise appearance on the Pepsi Center's stage Wednesday night left several convention attendees nearly without words.

When blogs attack
I have to admit, and it pains me somewhat to say this, but you don't see this kind of excitement about newspapers. Blogs are the new hotness, if "new" is even accurate anymore.

Bring back Gov. Moonbeam

Protestors' message unclear
Sitting next to me was Charles Robinson, a blogger from Maryland. He's an older black man with a weathered face and seen-it-all eyes. I showed him Web reports of protestors getting pepper-sprayed in Civic Center Park. He glanced at the computer screen, sighed and said: "The same ole' sh--."

Hillary has officially overflowed the Pepsi Center.

The Massachusetts Senator stole the show in the Pepsi Center on Monday night, inspiring a deafening response from the packed crowd and reminding his party about its higher goals and dreams.
