A heartfelt 'sorry' goes out to poor steamboatgirl. I don't think people were trying to be cruel. And if you weren't so angry you might actually find that some of these posts were downright funny.
Your comment about being drunk was, however, a bit uncalled for. I may have been drunk on a couple of occasions, but definitely not the entire year. Well, as far as I can recall anyway.
Enjoy the holiday, enjoy having your friends and family close by and enjoy the beautiful weather in our beautiful valley. There are more important things than being able to ski next week. Be thankful for what you do have.

steamboatgirl - whatever chick…
I'm not reading any press releases. I'm walking around in short sleeves in the middle of November. It may be cold at night, but 50 degrees during the day does not make good snow. It's more like mud. Your original post which started this hilarious thread was pretty ridiculous. Intrawest cannot make it snow. I'm pretty sure that it's safe to say that if they could, they would.

steamboatsprings - unless you have forgotten, as citizens of the United States of America - a person is presumed innocent until PROVEN guilty (sorry about the caps but these ridiculous statements are starting to get on my nerves). A little education of what exactly the laws are and what your rights as a citizen are would do you a lot of good.
It's incredibly sad to me to see how blinded by hate so many of you are. I always thought Steamboat Springs was a place of community - people sticking by each other. Instead, the pitchforks have come out and the witch hunt is in full swing. Most of you have already formed your opinion as to Wall's guilt and a Supreme Court decision on his innocence or a pardon from the Pope wouldn't be enough for you.
dundalk - is your life so miserable and pathetic that all you can do is spew hate. You have been on the rampage ever since Wall took office. And to the minions who hang on your every word - grow up and stop acting like sheep being led to slaughter. You people are what is wrong with Steamboat today.
I have a suggestion for all of you - pick up a copy of “The Art of Happiness” by the Dalai Llama (i am dead serious here). The amount of anger displayed in all of the posts on the topic of Gary Wall is disturbing. The fact that most of you are so willing to hang this man without any real proof is frightening. How about trying to channel all of your negativity into doing something positive. Find a hobby, get a life, go see a shrink. Do something to find whatever demons are plaguing you because Gary Wall is not the problem here.

hihoney - you need to calm down, twist one up or something.
I would like to say that I am shocked at the outcome of this case, but what else can one expect from the monstrous trio of Anderson, Dellinger and Post? These people are the scary ones - not Kevin. The sooner they get out of City Council the better. I just hope they don't ruin anyone else's lives before they go.

How about cuffing the dude to his hospital bed? And are we really to believe that the State Patrol can't make a call to the Sheriff's office or the police department to get an officer to stand guard?
This seems like one huge bungled mess if you ask me.

“The plazas would open up room for additional seating — perhaps on rock walls — landscaping, signage and more functional outdoor cafes, Britina’s Katie Ross said.”
The $439,000 question is who the hell wants to sit along Lincoln Avenue? You can't have a conversation with all of the truck noise. I personally don't care to eat along the sidewalk and have to breath in all of the exhaust.
Once again, City Council throwing around money for studies. How about actually fixing something!!!!

On Steamboat briefs for Nov. 21 (anonymous)

Since when does the Steamboat Briefs section of the paper announce court hearings?
Does anyone remember when the paper was run by a local family?
I won't say the name for fear of having my post removed by the censors ( it begins with an L has an E then a CK followed by another E an N and ends in BY). The paper actually had some integrity back then. The editors cared about reporting the news in an unbiased manner. They told both sides of the story, not just the side they wanted to be told.
Oh well, those days are gone now. Welcome to FOX.
