I don't see how Tom Ross is doing anything other than presenting facts. Ringalarm, you seem to be reading too much national news. The Steamboat real estate market has nothing to do with the headlines you are reading in the National Enquirer.
The comments on this post remind me of ones I hear often....from renters.
The city has to annex the land so the developers can build on small lots. If it stays in the county, the lot size is 35 acres or they have to do a Land Preservation Subdivision.
Colobob, did you ever think that maybe they are selling furniture BECAUSE people are buying staples at Staples? I think it's great to be progressive and evolve your business if a national chain takes away your customers. Go Tom!
Well, at Strawberry Park, a discussion among parents who have been in the art room say that tv watching is big and art projects are only being done by a small portion of the class because there aren't enough supplies. The rest of the class scribbles.
I haven't personally seen this, but several parents are upset at the lack of art being taught. Apparently, this is not a new behavior.

Since when do realtors set prices? Sellers are most likely the ones with the unrealistic expectations.
And have you tried to get a loan? Not exactly easy these days.
There is a lot more involved to the housing market than Steamboat's realtors.
