I'm glad to see McConnell throw his hat into the ring! Republicans need a strong active, CONSERVATIVE candidate to run against Salazar; I hope McConnel is that person.
So typical of Salazar. It's so hard to address this ...blah blah blah. I called Salazar's office an housr or two before they passed the stimulus bill last winter. I asked what his position was on the bill. They didn't know. I ask if he had read the bill, I was told they didn't know. I called about cap and trade. When I ask the same questions, they didnt know. ( it seems Pelosi let him vote no on that one) Omnibus, they didn't know. Do we really want a representative that doesn't know, has a staff that doesn't know and refuses to answer questions from the people he represents...most likely because he doesn't know.
RACISM!!!!! what to screech when you have no other argument. Pathetic. next they'll be telling us they are open-minded. (eye roll of disgust)
Oh and Mr. Roberts, technically this country is not a democracy, not even a representative democracy, it's a representative republic, or constitutional republic. Thank you for being respectful of my right to freedom of speech. (no matter how hard you campaigned for whomever)
One more thing, how were we going to pay for this monstrosity? Medicare, Medicaid and SS are already over obligated, mismanaged and need to be overhauled before we add another government entitlement program. Right?
Health care needs restructering, but with out big government intrusion. John Mackey, the CEO of Whole Foods. Please take the time to read his ideas.
Yep, WZ gotta love rural America. At the same time this man was leading police on a chase, how many crimes were committed in any city any where. Popcorn; the green jobs you've been promised are nothing but government subsidized busy work. Does anyone really think that solar and wind are ever going to pay for themselves...ever? Or be an efficient form of energy for the masses...ever?
The number of scientists that no longer subscribed to the global warming conspiracy is growing. "Among the many reasons President Barack Obama and the Democratic majority are so intent on quickly jamming a cap-and-trade system through Congress is because the global warming tide is again shifting. It turns out Al Gore and the United Nations (with an assist from the media), did a little too vociferous a job smearing anyone who disagreed with them as "deniers." The backlash has brought the scientific debate roaring back to life in Australia, Europe, Japan and even, if less reported, the U.S.
In April, the Polish Academy of Sciences published a document challenging man-made global warming. In the Czech Republic, where President Vaclav Klaus remains a leading skeptic, today only 11% of the population believes humans play a role. In France, President Nicolas Sarkozy wants to tap Claude Allegre to lead the country's new ministry of industry and innovation. Twenty years ago Mr. Allegre was among the first to trill about man-made global warming, but the geochemist has since recanted. New Zealand last year elected a new government, which immediately suspended the country's weeks-old cap-and-trade program."
"The number of skeptics, far from shrinking, is swelling. Oklahoma Sen. Jim Inhofe now counts more than 700 scientists who disagree with the U.N. -- 13 times the number who authored the U.N.'s 2007 climate summary for policymakers. Joanne Simpson, the world's first woman to receive a Ph.D. in meteorology, expressed relief upon her retirement last year that she was finally free to speak "frankly" of her nonbelief. Dr. Kiminori Itoh, a Japanese environmental physical chemist who contributed to a U.N. climate report, dubs man-made warming "the worst scientific scandal in history." Norway's Ivar Giaever, Nobel Prize winner for physics, decries it as the "new religion." A group of 54 noted physicists, led by Princeton's Will Happer, is demanding the American Physical Society revise its position that the science is settled. The most telling part about the Carlin story is not that he has a phd in economics and an undergraduate degree in physics. The important thing is his research was SUPPRESSED. Beautiful speech Maria, stunningly so. So full of platitudes and non-answers, it almost reminds me of something. Oh yes...Obama's speaches they also say nothing, but oh my God the hope they give us. *Blech* Resolving the healthcare crisis. How? New jobs created by the government. Like what? Saving endangered jobs, examples please. Debt? You ain't seen nothin' yet. What's a just America look like under Obama. How is he promoting education, What is he going to do, throw more money at it? Fear, ever hear of catastrophic global warming, now that fear is going to really cost us.
