BaseballfromKS … while you and your group may be considerate there are some that are not and give you a bad rap. Unfortunately I witnessed a team at a restaurant where the coach/parents didn't give a sh!t and allowed the kids to sit at different tables, run around and disturb the other patrons. When the staff/management tried to curtail the disturbance the coach/parents were extremely rude. We cut our meal short because of the mayhem. A little of that goes a long way in a small town!
As for our community - the vintage auto races, motorcycle races, cutting horses, etc provided tax dollars and also entertainment for the locals! Sorry TCS but I say go find another town with your ultimatum and let our town bring back some other groups that appreciate/respect the locals and offer something back to the community.

Colorado Native - great idea - however, I would like to see the parking garage about 4 stories tall so the people in the 'park' could see over the new buildings being erected.

Kevin_Nerney - central park is central to downtown and the mountain, fyi.

Wow, someone at Green Courte finally woke up and pulled the plug on JC. Who in their right mind thought that bringing on 3 major developments at the same time in the same small town was a good idea? JC must be full of some good BS to have pulled that off.

no more signs period. Get rid of every single sign in the city limits including real estate signs, fsbo signs, construction signs, painter signs, garage sale signs, and most of all political signs … then the city will not have to worry about who is in violation and we will be able to see the street signs again.

Your comment: 'Fact # 3–If the fire escape door was locked why wasn't as summons issued for a locked exit?'
Fire escape doors are locked from the outside but not the INSIDE!! please!
Get a new life and move on or be a man and pay for your crime - is this really your comment? “We are closing in a Month, who cares if I am here”.
The law - that's who!

Witch hunt, I think not! The Nerneys violated the law and now should face the consequenses and move on instead of wasting our governments time and money!

Thanks Big G for providing accurate information - can't believe all the slack you were given here!
Good for the Rivera family for working hard or being in the right place at the right time - obviously they are spending money in this town, eating at the OTP.

My question for y'all & Tom Ross:
Of the $3.5M for the most recent sale, how much money did the buyer's get back?

On Bus driver shortage unnerves some (anonymous)

FYI:The bus used to cost 50 cents to the rider quite a few years ago.
I think that a seasonal bus pass at $10 is not out of line. The riders without a pass could pay 25 cents and a sign could be posted that the bus driver does not give change. (Kathy Connell could buy passes for their guests at the Rockies). This minimal dollar amount should add up to some extra income for the drivers. However, even with more pay I would not want to be driving a bus in icy/snowy conditions with a busload of intoxicated persons. It's not fun as a rider to witness this much less be the one responsible for all riders on the bus. How many of you have been on a bus late night?

I am not disputing the jury's decision. However, it would appear that there must be other incidents with this owner that have not been made public. I do not think he deserves what city council handed out - did the previous owner of the business in that space lose his liqour license for what he did? or didn't he have one?
