I lived above a woman who was drunk and high all the time and she too would get so loaded she would start fires in the kitchen. I remember at least two dozen instances of the fire alarms going off and she was too wasted to hear them. I had to come downstairs and set the kitchen right. twice the firemen showed up.
she was a danger to me and my life.
she ended up killing herself by crashing her bike while she was drunk.
so he lives in a house for years without a smoke detector.....I would have paid the 20$ for one and expected to be repaid by the landlord. if I wasn't repaid i would have the assurance of a smoke detector in my home to protect me.
I am not perfect but I am proactive for my own safety... so maybe you.....a worker4progress....need to calm down....you're causing a scene.

I would have taken responsibility for my own safety by purchasing one.
