when did driving a car become a competition? gawd help me, i got inadvertantly stuck in the daily steamboat-craig rally the other afternoon. hope i never have to take my life in my hands (or anyone elses) like that again.
when did it become acceptable behavior to attempt to intimidate me into driving faster than the speed limit by riding my bumper tighter than a friggin' hemorrhoid? i refuse to buy into that philosophy and all you morons who do can kiss my boston-irish a**.
i can't wait to get to my new home town, where the term "entitleists" pertains more to a golf ball than the new attitude.
I called today as they were still closed...they say maybe June 9. I thought they were supposed to provide free recycling if they wanted to do residential service in town? If they aren't going to provide recycling service why can't we all save some money and get competition ? City of Steamboat, are you listening?
You can also resist the temptation to spend the tax rebate or your refund on more stuff and pay down the principle on your loan....you would be amazed at the thousands of dollars in interest you can save and whittle down the length of your loan. Pull up an amortiztion schedule for the loan you get and see the thousands of dollars you can save instead of paying it to the bank...it adds incentive to sticking to a goal. The more principle you pay off, the more equity you have, and the quicker you can move up should you want to.
my father (r.i.p.) taught me that a man is only as good as his word. it seems to me that a promise made should be a promise kept. tc will keep making more and more demands as long as they continue to get their way. the line has to be drawn somewhere, there is no time like the present to do so.
this used to be a community of steamboat springs, now it's called steamboat, and the only agenda the "new" locals have is based on personal accumulation of the almighty greenback.
You think we pay inflated prices now, think how this toll cost will be passed on to us with all the goods brought up here by the trucking business...food, gas, clothing, etc.
2000 more homes, using our precious water, 4000 more vehicles jamming our already crowded roads. And the longer it takes to get annexed, the higher the cost will be. Is that a threat? Don't believe that these will be affordable homes....affordable to most of us is $150,000 - $250,000. Stop the annexation.

Waste Managment Recycling
I called today as they were still closed...they say maybe June 9. I thought they were supposed to provide free recycling if they wanted to do residential service in town?
