question: Who is going to establish the baseline for "affordable housing" at DI?
sbsmon has me thinking along the same lines. The income of this community of 80 homes should be averaged and used as THE baseline to determine what is "affordable". After-all for whom is this being made affordable to?
Hmmmmm.......And just how well did that work out with the last trailer park Jim Cook got his fingers on? Wake up Dream Island. There is only one message and only one outcome here. That's prime real estate you poor people are sitting on.
Concrete huh? How about a more artistic twist and color the concrete - &/or stamping patterns in the concrete so it no longer looks like an interstate road? I know this looks great for residential projects - am uncertain how it would last with heavy traffic.
I agree with AmebaTost, why bother to provide galleries, shops and stores without considering adequate parking. There's a percentage of people from the front range who come up this way for the week with their vehicles. And plans for these new projects are lacking parking necessary for any increase in business traffic. Don't forget us locals, I like to drive and shop.
Ouch - I just visited the routt cnty website and saw that our property taxes doubled. Here's one middle class business owner that will be seriously considering leaving this community. Congrats Routt Cnty! For sending another small business owner packing!

Fetcher, 96, to semi-retire
I'm quoting someone else here...."Anything good which happened in this valley can be attributed to John Fetcher". What more can anyone say?
