Council picks Lincoln layout

ya they made a decision that was a mistake. it is not the right one they are just gonna make a bigger problem, when they create those ped. bubbles they would work in a city where it only snows like 1-3 inches a time and only a few times a year, but when we have 500 inch winters it will not work. i do have to admit that the city council has done good by making a decision but it was not the right one

Council picks Lincoln layout

why don"t they think about a parking garage in on the 8th street parking lot. that way they could take out all parking downtown, and then they don't need the bulbs and it would be easy to snowplow. make it four stories or more and make it big enough that i will still work ten years from now and you charge 25 cents and hour or half hour to help pay for it, then the rest of the lots downtown are free. thats what they do in Boulder, Huntington beach, New York city and many other cities in the world. we are stupid to have on street parking downtown with the amount of ped. and veh. traffic. lets make downtown people friendly.

Plane wreckage found

trinity.......i don't think that search and rescue is taking the credit for the find, thats not what this is about. i think that search and rescue put in tons of time and effort into finding this plane. i think that the personnel of search and rescue are relived that the plane has been found. search and rescue takes pride in not quiting until the job has been done what ever it is. in being a private person, search and rescue relies on its support members a lot especially in these hard searches.

Campgrounds closed, openings delayed

that is a bummer that it will be closed all summer but i understand why then. like skiday11 said i hope they dont turn it into a koa or make the spots so big that they have those 50 foot trailers in there and the 15 people that come along with it.

Our view: Closing day crackdown a good move

i think that the reason that they kept the bars on the mt open is so intrawest could make more money and screw the locals that helped them have a wonderful season it is better than any January that i have seen in a long time up there. to heck with steamboat our mt is really starting to suck.

Meteorologist predicts heavy snow in Steamboat similar to 2005-06

cdot can only use the mag chloride on us 40 they can not use it on any other roads. cdot does not use scoria on 131. they use sand. they county and city use scoria on all of there roads. so you can stay out of the mag chloride if you want.

Daylight at night

people in steamboat complain about not enough activities to do for kids or them selves now they are doing it and all you whine hello you live in ski town usa if you dont want to then f+++en move. thats what the lights are helping for. why dont you go and support them and go watch a race or ski at night instead of sitting behind a computer whining about the city doing something productive for the community.

Howelsen, Hot Springs still on table

take care of the darn traffic it is outta control 45 mins from the east end to the west end. it would also help if they put a gravel pit in on the east side of steamboat so that every time the trucks have to go to the pit they dont have to go through town.
