Local man welds a willow

Please note that the materials for Isaac Haskins "Willow" all came from Home ReSource, a non-profit salvage center located at the Milner Landfill, as part of our Creative Community Project--a program intended to bring community members together to beautify our environment and express themselves artistically using recycled materials. Margaret Hair featured the Project in her article dated May 23, check it out at: http://www.steamboatpilot.com/news/20...
Completed pieces submitted by local artists (like Wayne Kakela), non-profits (like Comunidad Integrada/Integrated Community), and small businesses (like Isaac's), will be displayed at First Friday Artwalk in downtown SS on Oct 3 and at an event at Home ReSource on Oct 4. To learn more about the program, how you can vote for "People's Choice", and/or the free family event at Home ReSource on Oct 4, please contact Genah Burditt at 819.8366 or genah@steamboatbiodiesel.com.

Natural ReSource

Mary you've written a beautiful article that truly captures the spirit of the project and Home ReSource. Thank you.

To the community: We look forward to seeing more and more of you this summer--whether you have a cash, overstock, or decon donation, an interesting landscaping project or remodel, you're an interested artist or non-profit (Nightwalker Enterprises, www.nightwalkerent.com, and Integrated Community www.ciiccolorado.org, have both entered CC Project on behalf of their constituents) or just a creative individual looking for something "kitchy" --we've got the services and stuff you're looking for.

Call the Milner Landfill for more info, 879.6985 or just stop by Tues-Sat, 9am-3pm.

And finally, we invite you to attend our Warehouse Grand Opening Event on July 12, at Home ReSource, directly following Art in the Park, where we will recognize donors such as Twin Enviro Services, Community Alliance of the Yampa Valley, and Ski Corps, celebrate the Creative Community Project, listen to music, and share a few pints!
