I don't get it. The restaurant/bar is closed, they aren't opening anything up, they are out of business. End of story....RIGHT just what are they investigating anyway. Can't you just LEAVE THESE PEOPLE ALONE!!!!! I say enough is enough. The newspaper has printed enough, they lost their shirts on this business, and just when things started to get back to normal for them, CABARET came around & crusified them on stage (talk about OVERKILL) Now this??? How much more can you do to these people? Remember they have kids, family & a life to get back to. I say leave them alone, get a life & report on something substantial & real.

OK Let him build Emerald Mtn, then we'll have the Steamboat 700 & lets not forget 360 (up on CR 42)
Now one question: Wher are all these people gonna work???? Have you checked the want ads lately????
Not a whole lot of "real jobs" that pay well here in the valley!!!

OK OK I just checked with my mother.......When she & her parents arrived at Ellis Island they HAD to speak English & they HAD to have a sponsor. When my mother went to school...her older sister was called down to the principal's office & told to take my mother (then 6 years old) home . My mother was not allowed to come back to school until she spoke English. From that moment on, no German was spoken in her parents home. I doubt that my mother would have any reason to tell me otherwise. I beg to differ with you & I am NOT ignorant!!!! That's the facts Jack!!!!

On Experts give tips on helping Spanish-speaking workers

I've got a friend who applied for an office job recently. She met all the job qualifications, and thought she had the job in the bag. She did not get the job because she could not speak Spanish!!! Can you believe this???? When her grandparents came over from Ellis Island they had to speak English, and had to have a sponser. Who would ever think that in this day and age, to live & work (2 jobs) in Steamboat, you have to speak Spanish!!!!! Give ME a break!!!!!

Hey can someone pass the prosec some of these people are on?Why can't we all just slow down and get along? There used to be a name for you types when I was growing up--Little miss goody-two shoes_-and you would get beat up by the big kids if you didn't stop complaining. There is and old saying that fits perfectly in this discussion and it goes like this
"You may be dead right when you have the right of way and you'll still be dead." My money's on the motorized vehicle winning everytime.

Hey OnThe BusGus: Didn't speak English!!! What a joke...I have a friend who applied for a job in this town & was told she couldn't get the job (although she was very qualified) because she needed to speak Spanish!!!!! What the heck is happening in this town!!!!! All the immigrants coming thru Ellis Island had to speak English!!!! Am I wrong???????

Couldn't some of these businesses (that were forced out so soon) been able to continue doing business while "the powers that be" figure out when they are REALLY going to tear all this down. Seems like alot of people were out of jobs & income WAY TOO SOON!!!!! What the heck were they thinking???? Oh Yeah they weren't!!!!!

Given the past few weeks.....with all the articles in the paper regarding getting rid of Mike, who (in their right mind) would apply for THIS job. Good Luck!!!!! They couldn't pay ME enough to put up with SSSD & the Board!!!!!! "Attract & Retain" I think thats alot of BULL!!!!!!
