Seems a little ironic that with all the DUI's in the headlines these days liquor is now being sold on Sunday! Just an observation.

Has anyone listened to the 911 recordings? Seems like what the Pilot is reporting and what is actually on the tapes aren't the same. Just wondering…

nmyopinion: have seen not only OCPD on duty into the wee hours of the morning but also SO's office out here along with CSP. So…whomever gave you the info that 8-9 pm is quitting time is mistaken.

whereisthesno — good points you make about Colorado Bar/over serving…not that Jay would knowingly allow this to happen, but it obviously did happen if Ms. Rodeman left the Colorado Bar, drove home (over the legal drinking limit) and alluded the police… Interesting she implicated her two passengers by telling them to exit the vehicle and run into the house because the police couldn't enter without a warrant…also interesting that she had dispatch on the phone to hear her “begging” not to be tased. Something just doesn't add up here. Hope the OCPD's recordings tell the whole story…till then,

Domestic violence, DUI's, DWAI's…seems like someone has to be really hurt (or a death results) before anything is done to the offenders.

I think it's all about the bright halogens shedding a different light on anyone who “knows exactly” what happened!! Could have been the swamp gasses, though!

justathought — Your statement is quite accurate. My opinion was the bulk of the first meeting was just another bashing (pretty viscious at times)…am I entitled to have this opinion in OC? Didn't attend the second meeting — had my fill at the first one.

nmyopinion & aufait — this might explain what's going on about the filling of water tanks (an example given): There is at present no back flow prevention in place and if someone has some kind of pesticide residue in their tank and it backs back into the hose it could contaminate the Town's entire water supply (i.e. Alamosa). Apparently there was lengthy discussion at the Board meeting, but the reporter failed to mention the reasoning behind this in the article.

Are they all paying? Does anyone know? If so, seems like an ok revenue source for OC. If they aren't, … then that's another matter.
