The Pilot had an article today about letting the healing being. Please everyone, let the healing begin. If each of you are going to hang onto the past when will we truly move on? If the board changes like some of you want, will the healing begin or will we begin to tear more scabs open.

Whatever faith you are or are not, you know right from wrong. You know it is wrong to continually berate someone, anyone.

Are you really ready to allow our district and community to heal? If you know right from wrong, are you willing to choose “right,” even against your personal feelings or what someone else did in the past? The present is right now! Can you put aside your own anger and hurt and forgive? It is now YOUR choice to let the healing begin or to continue your sad, personal struggle.

When I see the young kids (early to mid twenties) riding in the four-wheelers to water flowers, work maintenance, landscaping, I think of city employees who may need shelter. I do not think they are at the top of the salary chain. Those are the people who will live in the city housing complex. I think it would be nice if those of you who are against this plan to try to help the city find a better choice. I don't think of this area as prime real estate for another developer. I think of it as a place for these young workers to live in the town they are working to make a nice place to live.

Jesus said there would always be poor, that the poor were the closest to the gates of heaven, and will find it easier to enter. These young people will benefit from our labors. We should be proud of our city fathers (and mothers) to finally address our employee concerns with tangible action.

Communism allows for all people to have the same things, I hardly think that living at the old Iron Horse is the same as living on Dakota Ridge. Remember even in communist Russia after the Bolshevik revoluation some people lived in mansions while others starved. This is not communism, this is helping those who earn so little while helping us.

Housing shortages affect all of us. This is a problem for small and large businesses to coop, and others to help.

let us give the city council it's due. They are trying to solve a problem for their workers. Nearly everyone complains about this problem. Let our actions truly support our words.

Let us think of others less fortunate and praise any works which make our good intentions a reality.

We must shelter all of our empoloyees who serve own community. Each public and private entity should try to help provide temporary housing for up to a certain amount of time when these workers have their feet on the ground. The school district, and many private employers should join together with the city to help solve this problem. We talk about it all the time. Do you have other suggestions which could help our town with this very real problem? We must work together to keep this a well-rounded community.

Hey, you people, this is terrible to listen to (read).

Fabiola Katthain's English is correct. “There is a lot of nationalities….” “is” is the verb. “lot” is the subject. “of nationalities” is a prepositional phrase modifying “lot” (defining “lot”). I think if that was your point, OntheBusGus, you should work on your English a little more.

Are people, people? Aren't we taught throughout our culture to appreciate others and not to criticize lest we be criticized? Regardless of who celebrates what we should appreciate their celebration. It's also history which allows us to apppreciate others' customs and culture. If you don't care, do you need to tell people that? If so, why?

I do care if people have a good time and care enough to try to understand each other a little more. What about Rosh Hashanah this past week? Did you care? Did you feel a need to comment on that? Is it important that we understand the Jewish faith?

I pray that our community is open to others and not harbor an insidious bigotry. Our children must begin to accept others.

Cast no stones, gossip no more, begin to understand your own insecurities that lead to these kinds of debates that are, quite frankly, borish. Learn to live a better life and see yourself as “whole” and you will be able to accept others as miracles and see these opportunities for learning and improving our own lives.

I'm making progress with you StmbtJoe. I heard you ask for me twice on this posting and I came to support your growth. You are beginning to find your conscience, aren't you? My name is Matthew7_1_5 you will know me by reading Matthew 7:1-5. I saw your compassion rise in this morning's article about the tragic infant death. You do have a heart and it is healing. The tragedy pulled out your inner soul that has been hidden for so long on these blogs. Sometimes something earth shattering is needed to break us free. I smiled to myself.

I am not trying to save you, Joe. You are trying to save yourself. You have been filled with anger and fear born from doubt. Any man can overcome his past. My praying is reaping benefits for you (and me), and I sing His praises and send them to you.

Until a man understands and accepts his own goodness, he is more likely to demean others. This morning was a public breakthrough, Joe. I will continue to raise my eyes and sing praises for you. Let your soul continue to heal so that it may fly free and release you from your bondage of self-doubt and fear. I marvel at His mystery and His patience with us as we learn.

Yes, you were chosen but not by me. I was directed to you and you to me. We are linked in this earthly dance and neither of us is leading. We are followers and good that we are for He said, “Come follow me….” Have a nice night, Joe.

I believe both parents in many households are working two jobs to maintain a home here in Steamboat. This isn't about parenting, it is about giving children an earlier start, making Steamboat more affordable for families with children, and trying to keep children in one location all day to reduce stress, cost, and need for transportation. Imagine where family dollars could be spent when it isn't all going to childcare in preschools. Releasing parents from this cost allows them to spend it in other ways in our community. That spending could benefit other local businesses that aren't in the day care business.

Will there be a membership fee? Does anyone know what that cost would be in addition to the taxes? The placement of the facility does not seem to be very good for those who live west of the mountain. Are there any plans that show parking and traffic flow? How many employees will be needed to operate this facility after it is built? What is the cost of heating and cooling such a large facility? Where can I get my questions answered? What will happen to our current health and rec facility? Will it continue to function? Does this new facility create competition for membership fees?
