The tuition cost for the full day program should be reviewed and carefully audited throughout the school year.

With a proposed 110 full day kindergarteners:

110 students x $572 per month x 10 months = $629,200 of new revenue that the school board is collecting, while providing these children an extra 3-4 hours of education each day.

I support all day kindergarten, but this amount of money seems very high. I would like to see a detailed budget for how this money will be spent. Possibly the Pilot could report this information for the public.

Parents writing the $5720 check for their kid to go to all day kindergarten should be assured that every dime will go towards these 110 kids paying for the program, and not to other unrelated school board expenses or extra programs for children outside of all-day kindergarten.

Heres a thought….how would these women possibly hide this amount of money from their family…mostly their spouses? Were they in on it to? Are there more arrests coming? It would be hard to believe that other family members did not know anything about this.
