granny - still around - only read the forum when bored and rarely respond because of rude argumentive idiots that obviously seethe in bitterness. It's just not fun anymore. This thread was approriately titled.

justathought - I agree. Unfortunately not much of that going around these days.

Affordable housing? What a joke. Isn't that what Silver Spur was supposed to be? It might be afordable for the first person who buys, but then they turn around and sell it for a huge profit, then again and again until the price is through the roof just like every place else in town. As long as you have greed, you will not get afforable anything.

Ridiculous. Why would anyone work so hard to set a child killer free. This case should be cut and dry. There is no question or doubt that she intentionally murdered that baby.

I absolutely disagree to lower the drinking age - I would rather see it raised. In this week's arrest resport, there was only one MIP, the other 3 were ages 23, 29 and 31. And age aside, the issue here is more about driving while drinking. I am glad these people are getting caught before they harm themselves or someone else...and maybe it will act as a wake up call for some.

It IS scary because it is a known fact that DUI's are a great revenue source for Routt Co., which means an obvious blatant disrespect for the law...or just plain stupidity. Either one is dangerous.

It is amazing to me that every week there are more DUI's. When are people going to catch on that if you drink and drive, you are going to get a DUI. It is the number one arrest for Steamboat. There is a bus, a taxi service and I would think most people are even within walking distance, not to mention a sober bloke that would gladly give them a lift.
