On Police issues back on agenda

naylored - 'very professional crew with effective leadership'..............That's funny.

I didn't know professionals with effective leadership skills attempt to leave the scene of an accident. That seems more like dishonest and deceptive characteristics.

naylored - Your comments lead me to believe that you are actually Russ.

I bet that you are...............Your long time druggy comments about a youth give you away. Considering you've only been here for less than year, those comments are absurd and no more accurate than the comments coming out of the bars.

justathought - I'm not sure of the facts that lead to nmyopinon's comments, but I have personally witnessed Russ almost being the cause of 2 accidents. He was extremely excited and disregarded public safety to chase down 2 separate grandma's that we're possibly going near 27 or 28 mph. And, we all know the fact the he has an attempted hit and run in Oak Creek, but got busted before he could actually flee the scene.

On Police issues back on agenda

It's odd that nmyopinion mirrored my comments from yesterday and I was removed. Captain Excitement must have been the one to suggest removal because of the negative comments.

2 more examples are listed on how the OCPD has nearly caused accidents. That would now be 5 that I know of in the last 60 days.

It will probably take a serious injury or death caused by the OCPD for people to wake up and realize that the individual running that department has no business being in that position.

On Oak Creek outlines goals

Where's all the dirt located that Krall seems to think will be up for annexation?

I don't believe the ranchers that own the most viable parcels that are adjacent to OC are going to sell any time soon. And, if the dirt does change hands, the $/acre paid won't leave much room for affordable housing.

With lot prices of $60,000 to $110,000, affordable housing will be difficult.

On Our View: Ride a bike; obey the laws

To all bicyclists, please read exception 1 in this article, which states 'ride as close to the right hand side as practicable'. That would clearly state that bikes are to be close to the ditch and not the WHITE LINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In other words, old_town, if a motorist actually has to slow down to pass you on 131, you are breaking the law.

On Our View: Ride a bike; obey the laws

Every bicyclist should read the article about the bozo who ran a red light in the last day or two and got schmucked by a truck. Lucky to be alive! Running a red light is the same as riding side by side on these mountain roads. Those bicyclists, in my opinion, have a death wish.

old_town and marthalee - You should probably stay on the bike paths as your comments lead me to believe that you don't respect the automobiles that the roads were built for.

cybergypsy - Were you aware that there was a crazy invention 50+ years ago called the motorcycle?

On Ethanol debuts at Southside Station

bubba - I didn't realize that you actually defended my point by saying you run 87 in town because with 85 the engine will knock. You run 85 on the highway because it doesn't. That would translate into being too cheap to spend $3.00 extra for a tank of fuel. Do you fill up just enough, so you run the 85 out upon entering city limits? I'll let it go because you obviously will not get the point.

On Ethanol debuts at Southside Station

bubba - I am not mistaken. Think about your logic. Why is it that 85 is not legal to sell in the majority of states? Is that because it's just as good? No, it's because vehicles get all jacked up from that crap. If it was just as good, you could fill up your Escort (kielbasa) in North Dakota or Colorado with the same fuel. However, you can't..........So, the most simple of logic, no mechanical arguments needed, would tell you 85 octane is not as good. If you don't ever leave the top of this mountain, more power to you.
