Matt Stensland is a photojournalist for the Steamboat Pilot & Today. He has
worked for the paper since January 2006. Matt started working at the paper
as a reporter covering the town of Hayden, real estate and business. After
about a year he was hired on as the newspaper's first full-time
videographer. Matt has a bachelor's degree in print journalism from the
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and grew up in Urbana. When not
working, you will most likely find Matt soaking at either the Old Town or
Strawberry Park hot springs.

Brady Meier died Friday after construction site accident

Brady Meier was pronounced dead at 11:45 a.m. at Yampa Valley Medical Center, Routt County Coroner Rob Ryg said. The cause of his death has not been determined, but Ryg and investigating officers said they think Meier was struck with a fitting from a pressurized water line.

Routt County Search and Rescue is scaling back its search for Rebecca Green until water levels recede to safe flows near upper Fish Creek Falls. Green has been missing since Saturday afternoon. A prayer vigil for the family is at 7 p.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church.

Rescue crews leaving Fish Creek Falls for the day

Plans for tomorrow not yet known in the search for Rebecca Green, 40, of Steamboat Springs

Search and Rescue spokeswoman Riley Polumbus said at 5 p.m. today that rescuers are beginning to pack up and end today's search for 40-year-old Rebecca Green of Steamboat Springs. Green and her 8-year-old son, Kade, fell into Fish Creek below the upper falls Saturday. Kade was safely carried out by rescuers. Green has been missing since about 1 p.m. Saturday. Search plans for tomorrow are not yet decided.
