Kelly Meek has walked the sidelines and hallways at Steamboat Springs High School for 36 years. Two weeks ago, he announced his retirement to spend more time with his ailing father, four grandchildren, three daughters and wife, but not before leaving a lasting legacy as a disciplinarian, great coach and incredibly influential mentor for the youths of Steamboat Springs.
Players carry Kelly Meek off the court after Steamboat Springs beat No. 1 Glenwood Springs in 1978 to win the district championship.
