Craig residents Joan Bates, left, and her husband, Harold, pose with a photo of them taken while they were in the military. Joan served in the U.S. Army for about 2 and 1/2 years and Harold served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years. They met at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico and married in 1968.
Mike Tuttle, Ridge Erection general foreman, installs bracings Monday morning for long-spanned bar joists at the Craig Middle School site. The bracings are designed to increase the roof’s structural integrity. Construction of the new middle school’s one-story sixth-grade wing began Sept. 2.
