After about an hour and a half of sales Tuesday afternoon, these children had made $11.30 selling lemonade on Poplar Street in Hayden. From left: Garrett Salazar, 6, Garrett Camilletti, 10, and Shaelynn Salazar, 10, were selling the cool drink for 25 cents a cup. Ten-year-old Tommy Wade also was helping. Business was good, the entrepreneurs said. Garrett Camilletti said he was saving up cash for a bow to do archery. Shaelynn is saving up for the Routt County Fair, and her brother, Garrett, said he’d probably use his share of the money to buy toys.

Work has stalled at the Lake Village subdivision in Hayden because of legal issues. The town is considering taking over repairs to the infrastructure, such as this fallen manhole, at the developer’s expense. Two of the five unoccupied model homes can be seen here.
